Why some companies live longer

The average company has the lifespan of sheep, somewhere around 10-15 years. It would be interesting to study the longevity of companies and how far out into the future they dream. I expect there is a correlation. I would expect those with longer life spans to be dreaming further out. The depth of our passion is equal to the length of our dreaming.
